
Dr. Walter McLean
Vice President and Scholarship Chair
Dr. Walter McLean is an actively engaged retiree. His professional career spans across levels in education. His experiences included: teacher Grades K-12, building administrator Grades K-12, and Executive Director/Assistant superintendent. He earned a bachelor’s degree in music/Voice and master‘s degree in Music, a doctoral of education degree in leadership and curriculum. He retired in 2001 and continues to provide educational consultant services to schools and school districts. Dr. McLean also provides professional services as a Lead Evaluator for Cognia School and District Accreditation both domestically and internationally. Dr. McLean serves as the Dean of Worship Arts, Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, Detroit, Michigan. He is a member of the National Association of Negro Musicians where he currently serves as vice-president and scholarship chair for both the Detroit Branch and Central Region.
